Belief Statements

Strategies

  • We will provide a curriculum that meets the mission of our District as well as the diverse needs of our students.

    • Enhance the measurement of student learning at the elementary school by implementing a standards based grading system.

    • Develop a network that provides a continuous level of communication with area technical schools, community colleges, universities, as well as local businesses in order to develop the essential skills required upon graduation.

    • Evaluate and continuously monitor high school programming to assure that course offerings and curriculum prepare students to enter the workforce, enroll in a technical or community college, or a four year university and have success.

    • Utilize online personalized learning at the high school to expand course offerings, offer credit recovery, and provide schedule flexibility. 

    • Collaborate with parochial schools in order to have a cohesive curriculum throughout the district.

  • We will provide a safe, healthy environment conducive to learning.

    • Utilize faculty and student advisory committees that focus on positive strategies for student concerns.

    • Develop a building wide program at the elementary school that will promote positive student interaction.

    • Explore opportunities to bring in local law enforcement to develop positive relationships and to compliment the drug awareness program within the current curriculum. 

    • Provide resources and training on the warning signs of abuse (substance, physical, emotional)

    • Secure the school facilities at all times during the school day.

  • We will provide resources (time, technology, etc.) consistent with our mission. 

    • Develop a school calendar that includes regularly scheduled staff development days in which staff will participate in professional development activities that focus on improving instruction.

    • Enhance instruction throughout the district by implementing a 1:1 program.

  • We will maintain, build, or purchase facilities consistent with the needs of our community and the mission of our district.

    • Increase energy efficiency by eliminating boilers throughout the district.

    • Modernize facilities aesthetically and structurally.

  • We will facilitate effective communication with all stakeholders.

    • Utilize social media as a means to promote and celebrate student accomplishments and to inform stakeholders of important events.

    • Expand or develop more effective after-school events that display student accomplishments and/or inform families.

    • Engage with the district community in a variety of ways to proactively share pertinent and timely information of the goings on within the District.
